The Penn State DuBois women’s basketball team (1-2) picked up its first win of the season as they topped Community College of Allegany-Boyce, 62-40 on Friday night.
The Lady Lions jumped out to a 36-14 halftime lead and never let the lead drop below 18 points in the second half to secure the win. “I felt that the girls really stepped it up defensively tonight and we really controlled the tempo of the game” stated DuBois coach Pat Lewis.
The Lady Lions were lead by Amanda Craker (Sheffield) as she scored 16 points and pulled down six rebounds. She was joined in double figures by Lauren Donovan (Oswayo Valley) with 10 points.
