I want to be the first to congratulate our new mayor James Schell! It appears that my previous letter advising Patty Gilliland that the residents of Clearfield were not happy was right on the mark! There were several follow up letters to the editor in support of ex-mayor Gilliland and for those people I hope that they will stand behind our new mayor!
For Mayor Schell please take note of this election and understand that should you behave as Mayor Gilliland did you also will be out of a job!
I am very happy to see that the residents of Clearfield saw that there was a major issue, that they did not believe Mayor Gilliland “story” of needing access to the evidence room or that the problems were those of our council and not hers!
This is a great day for Clearfield and I look forward to supporting our new Mayor! I hope that he will spend his time doing all the things that the residents of Clearfield need!
