LTE: Problems Facing Clearfield Borough II

I believe that the biggest problem facing Clearfield Borough right now is the dissention between the current mayor and borough council. I don’t feel that Clearfield can move forward with relationships as they are right now between these parties. The trust has been broken between the mayor, borough council and the chief of police. I feel that no matter what the outcome of the pending lawsuit may be that this trust cannot be easily mended. It is impossible to work closely together without a trusting relationship. I feel that a new start with a new mayor is what Clearifield Borough needs to get back on the right track. While the current mayor has participated in obtaining several grants for Clearfield, the problems arising from this lawsuit far outweigh those successes. If the residents of Clearfield Borough place their trust in me, I will work hard to repair the damage to these relationships and restore the image of mayor to what it used to be prior to these difficulties. I am confident that I am very capable of working amicably with borough council, the borough manager, the chief of police and the police department to achieve positive outcomes for Clearfield and it’s residents. Any works in progress by the current mayor can easily be completed by those willing to work together as a team. I look forward to moving from concentrating on grants fairly exclusively to finding other avenues to make Clearfield a better place to live, including addressing the increased crime and drug problems by assisting council and the police in any way I can. Let’s make the changes in leadership that Clearfield Borough needs, taking a team approach and taking the ” I ” out of the equation. Your vote on Nov. 3 would be greatly appreciated.
