The names on the bottom of the LTEs I saw were businessmen. I would assume (although you know what happens when you ass-u-me) you gentlemen have had dealings with attorneys / solicitors. If those dealings were with pending litigation, did your attorney not instruct you ” Do Not Discuss Pending Litigation”? This is what the Clearfield Borough Council had been instructed to do. To the best of my knowledge, the Council has followed those instructions. I HAVE NOT seen nor heard any Clearfield Borough Council members in the local media (Newspapers, Radio, Television or on-line media) discussing the litigation.
If I remember correctly at the last Clearfield Borough Council meeting ( the meeting was recorded ) where Councilman Reddinger asked the mayor if she was going to present the council with a bill for her legal fees (TECHNICALLY this is discussing the litigation. But I heard nothing other than a question about future costs). The mayor told Councilman Reddinger she was instructed by her attorney “Not To Discuss the Pending Litigation”. You can verify this, as I said it was recorded. Then the mayor went on to extol HER many accomplishments. Then she went on to state how she and the previous solicitor had discussed her mayoral duties. Later on in her term; she ( the mayor ) said she was told ( by the same solicitor ) to do disregard that previous discussion and do things another way.
Is this not discussing the pending litigation?
Has she not been the only one to publicly discuss this?
I attended this council meeting. I heard it first hand. If you doubt my statements, ask to listen to the RECORDED minutes of the meeting.
