Philipsburg Man Faces Drug Charges

PHILIPSBURG – A 54-year-old Philipsburg man was arrested by members of the Pennsylvania State Police Troop G Vice and Narcotic Unit on Friday, the Philipsburg-based State Police reported.

According to the report, Arnold Joseph Thompson, 54 of Philipsburg, voluntarily turned himself in due to an active warrant. His arrest came as a result of troopers purchasing marijuana from him.

Police indicated that he has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. They stated that he was arraigned with his bail set at $10,000 unsecured.
