CLARION – Clarion University has partnered with the Clarion Borough and Clarion Township to organize a community clean-up day, Extreme Community Makeover: Clarion University Service Day,” on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Residents who live within walking distance of the University are invited to register an outdoor project for volunteers to complete on that day. Examples of outdoor projects, which residents can propose include: window cleaning, painting, landscaping or brush removal. Residents must provide all materials necessary for the project including safety glasses, gloves or masks.
Clarion University’s Career Service Center will recruit student volunteers to help with the projects between 9:30 a.m.–noon.
The day will begin for the volunteers on campus at 8:30 a.m. with on-site registration and orientation in the Eagle Common’s Paul Chandler Dining Hall. Volunteers are scheduled to depart campus for the community sites between 9:15-9:30 a.m. Projects at residences should end by noon.
