Clearfield — In the winner\’s bracket final of the Old Town Softball League (OTSL) Monday night Buster\’s beat Bob Boob 5-3.
Jeff Tomb picked up the win, while Andy Squires provided the clutch hitting for Buster\’s.
Steve Terry was the hard luck loser for Bob Boob. Randy \’Slappy\” Peacock gave Boob\’s an early lead with his solo homerun.
Buster\’s took a 3-1 lead only to see Bob Boob tie the game at three. Buster\’s plated two runs in the sixth to get the win.
In the nightcap, three time defending playoff champion Bob Boob had to face Moyer\’s Auto Body for the right to face off with Buster\’s in the championship game.
Boob\’s turned to Steve Terry to take to the circle once again, while Moyer\’s Mike Greene took his turn for Moyer\’s.
An excellent pitching duel ensued.
Boob\’s scored five runs in the 6th inning to break open a 2-2 ballgame.
Buster\’s and Bob Boob Garage will meet Tuesday night in the championship game. Boob\’s must win twice to claim their fourth consecutive playoff title.
