CLEARFIELD – With commitments from a record-tying 10 teams, the Clearfield 40-and-Over \”Past Your Prime\” Modified Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament is sure to provide families, friends and fans with another full weekend of entertaining, exciting action August 15 and 16.
Denny\’s Beer Barrel Pub of Clearfield and Aqua Specialists of Mechanicsburg will return to defend, and perhaps settle, their 2008 co-championship.

Seven-time champion Potter\’s Bricklayers and four-time champion Meatheads have designs on adding to their totals in the 15th annual tourney that benefits area youths through the Clearfield-based Sergeant William L. Dixon Detachment of the U.S. Marine Corps League.
Buster\’s Sports Bar of Clearfield will be striving to annex its second title trophy.
Also returning will be Bob Boob\’s Garage, Siegel Engraving, Krebs Moving & Storage of Clearfield, and the Emporium Used-To-Be-Goods.
The Bedford Over-The-Hillbillies will be making their first appearance.
Bucky Strunk Memorial Field will be the site of most games, but several will have to be played at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field in order to keep the tourney on schedule.
A meeting to determine the pairings and times is set for Monday at 7 p.m. in Buster\’s.
