WILLIAMSPORT – The Clearfield Babe Ruth League 13 Prep All-Stars bowed out of the District 8 Tournament in two games.
Manager Charlie Lombardo\’s team lost 10-2 to Potter-McKean Friday evening and 13-3 to State College in six innings Saturday morning.
Christian Lezzer singled and doubled while Kelton Rishel and Devin Jones singled in the tourney opener. Rishel drove in one of the runs.
Lezzer went the distance on the mound.
Clearfield was held to three hits in the second game, singles by Lezzer, Derek Hryn and Hannah Kirsch.
Loser Devon Jones, Jonas Kochan and Jones shared the pitching duties.
West End, the Williamsport league, won the championship by rolling past State College 10-0 in 4-1/2 innings and Potter-McKean twice, 15-4 and then 13-3 in five innings in the finals.
