CURWENSVILLE – The District 9 Class A Softball Playoffs semi-final game between No. 2 seed Curwensville and No. 3 seed Brockway scheduled for Tuesday was postponed because of morning showers and the forecast for more afternoon rain.

Athletic director and Lady Tide coach Allen Leigey announced the game will be played Wednesday, weather permitting, at 4 p.m. at the Highland Park Elementary School Field in DuBois.

The Lady Chucks, held to three hits off Lansberry, scored in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The Lady Tide got to Punxsy standout Angie Burke (7-1) for eight hits but were unable to dent the scoring column.
