Tennessee Woman Killed in I-80 Accident

PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP – A fatal accident claimed the life of a 29-year-old Savannah, TN woman on Sunday in Pine Creek Township, the DuBois State Police reported today.

Raginibeh H. Patel was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner, Bernard Snyder.

According to the police report, Alysha Dinesh Patel, 27 of Lunspier, MI, was traveling east on Interstate 80, when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow/slush covered roadway. Her vehicle traveled off the north side berm and up an embankment. Her vehicle, then, overturned on the guide rail. Police said her vehicle traveled approximately 80 feet before rolling three more time and coming to a final rest on its roof.

(Alysha) Patel and a second passenger Tina Dinesh Patel, 23 also of Lunspier, MI, sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services, Pine Creek Township Fire Company and the Brookville Fire Department.
