DUBOIS – A seven-run outburst in the third inning was the difference as DuBois handed the Clearfield fall baseball team a 10-4 setback in a game shortened to eight innings because of darkness Thursday evening.
Clearfield had taken a 3-0 lead before the hosts rallied, with Matt Zimmerman\’s three-run double the key hit.
Aaron Sayers and Isaac Butler had two singles apiece and Robert Lombardo added a double for Clearfield.
Kasey Clinton tripled and singled and Nate Sabados tripled for the winners.
Weather permitting, Clearfield (1-6) will be at home against Philipsburg Saturday at 11 a.m. and then go to Altoona Sunday for a 1 p.m. double-header.
