CLEARFIELD – Several Pay it Forward projects have taken place this month in Clearfield. Proceeds will benefit wounded soldiers. Among those involved are, front row, from left, Pastor Matt Holbert of St. John Lutheran Church; Marv Smith, who came up with the idea for the local project for soldiers; and Dave Glass of Allstate Insurance, who donated proceeds from the sale of Pittsburgh Penguin tickets. Standing, from left: Sue Shimmel, an organizer of the 1/2 mile quarter drive; Brenda Grice, who organized a yard sale; Sharon and Roger Kritzer, who organized a dessert competition at Clearfield Hospital; Diana Smith, an organizer of the local effort; and Janet Grice, who, along with Brenda Grice and the Grice family, held a yard sale.
