ALTOONA, Pa. – The Dean Patterson Curve Classic semifinal game between Clearfield (2-9) and Central Cambria (7-4) was suspended in the bottom of the second inning because of a severe thunderstorm.
The two teams will return to the Blair County Ballpark Sunday to resume play at 10 a.m. with the Bisons leading 2-1 and the Red Devils batting with one out and no runners on.
Derek Danver and David Welker drove in the Clearfield runs in the first inning.
Punxsutawney (7-2) and Central (5-6) will meet in the other semifinal at approximately 12:30 p.m., which will push the championship game back to approximately 3 p.m.
In consolation round games Saturday, Bishop Carroll (2-9) defeated Hollidaysburg (5-6) 13-9 and Altoona (2-6-1) beat Bishop Walsh (8-9) of Cumberland, Md., 8-3
