CLEARFIELD – Clearfield is seeded second in Class AAA and Curwensville is seeded third in Class AA for this week\’s District 9 Wrestling Team Championships.
The Bisons (11-4) will host DuBois (11-7) in a semifinal match Thursday at 7 p.m. in Arthur J. Weiss gymnasium, with the winner to take on No. 1 seed St. Marys (15-2) in the DuBois Area High School gym Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Bisons defeated the Beavers 42-23 at DuBois on Jan. 8 and lost 38-33 at St. Marys on Jan. 22.
All Class AA matches are booked for Saturday at DuBois, with Curwensville (5-1) going against second seed Ridgway (17-4) and top seed Redbank Valley (9-3) taking on fourth seed Port Allegany (13-3) in the 11:30 a.m. semifinals, with the winners returning for the championship meet at 3 p.m.
The Golden Tide lost 50-18 to Ridgway at home on Jan. 17.
