HEILWOOD – Penns Manor dominated the Curwensville Area High School girls basketball team in all phases of the game to hand the Lady Tide a 60-9 setback in the first round of the Penns Manor Holiday Classic Friday night.
The Lady Comets capitalized on easy transition baskets and putbacks to run away with their eighth win in 10 outings and join Purchase Line in the championship game Saturday night.
Pacing the Lady Comets with 17 points was Jessica Heidenthal, one of three senior starters from the 2006-07 team that finished 24-5.
Curwensville (0-7) goes against Bellwood-Antis, beaten 51-38 by Purchase Line, in the consolation game at 5:30 p.m.
