Clearfield Bisons (3-3) at Indian Valley Warriors (6-0)

LEWISTOWN — The Clearfield Bisons will try to follow up one of their best efforts of the season when they take on unbeaten Indian Valley this week at Mitchell Field in Lewistown.

The Bisons are coming off a 21-7 homecoming win over Central Mountain last week. But this is, without a doubt, Clearfield\’s stiffest test of the year.

The Warriors have been playing great football. And it doesn\’t matter where. The Warriors are 3-0 at Mitchell Field and 3-0 on the road. Indian Valley has a stout offense. The Warrior ground game is led by Thad Rosenberry, who is averaging 3 yards per game. So far this season, Rosenberry has rushed 68 times for 464 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Quarterback Jarrett Kratzer has completed 55-of-92 for 948 yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions. He\’s averaging 158 passing yards per contest. His favorite receiver has been Jay Hartman, who has pulled in 26 receptions for 390 yards and two TDs. Austin Long has 12 receptions for 253 yards and five scores.

Defensively, the Warriors are led by Long, who is averaging seven tackles per game and Todd Pully, who has a half-sack to his credit. Indian Valley is coming off a 35-28 win over Bellefonte last week. In that game, the Warriors trailed by two touchdowns, but outscored Bellefonte 21-0 over the middle two quarters to pick up the win.

The Warriors are coached by Gawen Stoker, the former Bald Eagle Area coach. Stoker is known for using a ground attack, but with Kratzer running the controls, Stoker has been using the air more in 2007.

In the win last week, IV turned the ball over four times, but Bellefonte was able to convert those into just seven points.

If the Bisons are to pull off the upset, they will need a big game from quarterback Jarrin Campman. He managed the game perfectly last week. After directing the Bisons to three first-half scores, the Bisons controlled the clock in the second half to grind out the win over the Wildcats. Campman has completed 52-of-91 passes for 824 yards and seven touchdowns. He has been intercepted just twice.

Through the air, Campman\’s most reliable target has been wideout Drew Hipps. He has 20 receptions for 518 yards and eight touchdowns. He\’s averaging an amazing 25.9 yards per catch.

On the ground, the Bisons are also led by the scrambling Campman. He\’s carried the rock 87 times for 363 yards and 4.2 yards per carry. He\’s scored seven touchdowns. Running back Isiah Morgan has carried the ball 81 times for 339 yards, also 4.2 yards per carry. He\’s scored five TDs.

Kickoff from Mitchell Field is set for 7 p.m.
