Girls: Punxsutawney – 24, Clearfield – 34
Boys: Punxsuatwney – 14, Clearfield – 50
Gwenn Porter finished 1st against Punxsutawney and Marion Center with Bethany Feathers finishing close in 3rd as the Clearfield Girls fall to Punxsutawney in a District 9 League meet. Both girls had a strong showing as they approach the District 9 meet in a quest for a second straight trip to the PIAA state meet. The other girls continue to improve even though they have encountered some mild setbacks during the year.
On the boys side Holden Lowe was the top finisher with Yingling and Bumbarger finishing right behind. The boys continue to gain experience and strength in their first year of competition as they race a very strong and seasoned Punxsutawney team.
Both the boys and girls teams return to action Saturday at the Spiked Shoe Invitational in State College.
