Derry Woman Waives Hearing on Burglary Charges

DUBOIS – A Derry woman waived her right to a preliminary hearing on Friday.

Nicole Graham, 20, is charged with burglary, criminal attempt to commit criminal trespass, criminal trespass and related charges.

According to court records Graham was found inside a Luthersburg residence by the residents. They noticed her walking around their kitchen talking on the phone. When she noticed them Graham fled the residence into the woods.

The residents noticed that various items had been moved.

Graham was later discovered by state police sitting against a tree along Borough Road about one mile from the residence. She was identified by the residents and related her story to police.

Graham told police that she and her boyfriend got into a fight and that he beat her. She walked to the residence and attempted to enter through the windows in the rear of the residence by removing the screens. However she found that the back door was unlocked. She used the phone inside to call her boyfriend to pick her up. She said that he picked her up and they went back to camp where they got into another fight. She left and was found sitting by the tree.

Graham is free on unsecured bail.
