CLEARFIELD COUNTY – The Clearfield County DUI Strike Force conducted DUI checkpoints and roving patrols looking for people driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances over the Labor Day weekend.
Officers from Clearfield Borough, Curwensville Borough, DuBois City, Lawrence Township and Sandy Township participated in the detail.
Police arrested nine people for DUI, issued 19 traffic citations, 11 non-traffic citations, 39 warnings, eight drug arrests and served two bench warrants.
The checkpoints and roving patrols will continue in Clearfield County throughout 2007.
