Ellicott, MD — Four area women are training to compete in the RYKA Iron Girl Triathlon in Ellicott, MD on August 19.
The four women, Diane Woolridge, Rosemary Dearing, Jackie Morrison, and Jennifer Kitko-Danver, will begin the triathlon with a .62 mile swim around Centennial Lake. The competition will continue with a 17.5 bike ride, and conclude with a 3.4 mile run through Centennial Park.
Over 900 participants from all over the United States and as far away as Australia are expected to compete.
