HYDE – The Clearfield Legion baseball team tightened its grip on second place in the Jefferson County League without taking the field Saturday evening at the Bison Sports Complex.
Reynoldsville (5-13) had only eight players and had to forfeit to the Chiefs, who are 10-7 with three games left in the regular season.
Two are booked for Sunday afternoon, a road game against Brookville at 1 and a home game against DuBois at 6.
Clearfield, 17-8-1 for the season, will play Curwensville at Hepburnia Tuesday at 6 p.m. That game was originally scheduled for Monday.
