Clearfield Boys Postponed, Playoff Pairings Announced

Inclement weather has again forced the postponement of the Clearfield Bison boys basketball program\’s Senior Night.

Clearfield will play Ridgway on Saturday evening with junior varsity action tipping off at 5 p.m.

After the junior varsity contest, Clearfield will honor its senior basketball players, cheerleaders and statisticians. During halftime of the varsity contest, the program\’s kindergarten and first-graders will play a game.

Clearfield boys have regular season games scheduled for Monday at Central Mountain and at Punxsutawney on Thursday.

Clearfield then enters the District 9 Class AAA Playoffs as the third seed and will and will travel to No. 2 seed Bradford on Tuesday, Feb. 27. Tip-off time will be announced. The winner will play top-seeded St. Marys in the title game on Saturday, March 3 at Clarion University of Pa.\’s Waldo S. Tippin Gymnasium at 7 p.m.

The Lady Bisons game with Bellefonte, originally scheduled for tonight, has been postponed. Make-up dates have not been set for either Curwensville or Belleftone games at this time.

However, Clearfield does have one remaining regular season game and that is on Thursday against Punxsutawney. Win or lose Cleafield will be the number three seed in the District 9 Class AAA Playoffs. However, should the Lady Bisons defeat Punxsutawney there will be a tie between Punxsutawney and Bradford for the regular season title. Punxsutawney can avoid any ties by beating Clearfield.
