Eleven Bisons place at Seneca Valley Tourney

HARMONY — Eleven Bison wrestlers made it to the medal stand en route a third place team finish at the Seneca Valley Invitational Saturday night.

The Bisons were led by Shawn Hall (135), Jacob Riglin (171) and Sean Owen (HWT), who won tournament crowns.

In the championship bout, Hall picked up a 9-0 major decision over Bart LaLonde (Seneca Valley), while both Riglin and Owen posted falls.

Riglin needed only 54 seconds to pin John DeBrouse (Nordonia), while Owen pinned Zach Eckstorm (Seneca Valley) in 4:58.

Also, making a finals appearance was Bison, 145-pounder Richie Queen.

Queen fell to Pat Coyne (Seneca Valley) 17-1 to finish second.

The Bisons had three grapplers finish third for the tournament.

Andrew Spicer and Anthony Schultz posted decision victories at 112 and 130 pounds, respectively.

Spicer defeated Mike Chapple (Nardonia) 9-4, while Schultz won by a 6-4 score over Alex Reddinger (Seneca Valley).

Lee Zalno earned a third place finish with a pin in 1:36 over Steve Snyder (Ambridge).

Cody Billotte (119), Anthony Moore (140), Justin Barbeiri (189) and Nick Redden (215) took fourth.

Clearfield is back in action tonight when the Bisons host Brookville. The meet is set for 6:30 p.m.
