Mother and Daughter Waive Hearings, Remain in CCJ

DUBOIS – A DuBois mother and daughter remain in Clearfield County Jail on charges that they sold crack cocaine to a confidential police informant.

In June, Cindy L. Frantz, 43, and Melissa S. Frantz, 18, reportedly sold almost one gram of crack cocaine.

Court papers say that the informant went to the Frantz home on June 28. Cindy and Melissa went upstairs to a bedroom with the informant. Once there, Cindy took $260 for the drugs. She then handed a bag of crack cocaine to Melissa, who then handed it to the informant.

The material in the bag was tested and found to contain cocaine.

The women were being held in lieu of $10,000 straight bail, but Magisterial District Judge Patrick N. Ford reduced that amount to $5,000 each on Friday.
