Penn State-Purdue game set for noon kick on ABC

University Park, Pa. — ABC will televise the Penn State-Purdue football game on Saturday, Oct. 28 at noon ET from Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Ind.

The contest will be a split national telecast on ABC, along with Oklahoma-Missouri. The game also will be available on the ESPN GamePlan package.

The clash with the Boilermakers (5-2, 2-1) is Penn State\’s (4-3, 2-2) ninth announced TV appearance of the season. This Saturday\’s Homecoming game with Illinois will be nationally televised by ESPN2 at noon ET.

The Nittany Lions\’ season opener with Akron aired on ESPN2, the Notre Dame game was on NBC, the Youngstown State game was an ESPNU national telecast, the Ohio State, Northwestern and Michigan games aired on ABC and the overtime win at Minnesota was televised by ESPN Regional.

The Nittany Lions have appeared on television in 145 of their last 147 games.

All Penn State football games can be heard on the Penn State Sports Network and http://www.GoPSUsports.com online, with selected games available on XM Satellite Radio.

Penn State leads the series with Purdue, 7-3-1, posting a 33-15 victory in State College last year. The Boilermakers won the last meeting in West Lafayette, 28-14, in 2003.

Purdue hosts Wisconsin on Saturday before the contest with the Nittany Lions. Future Penn State contests may be selected by the networks under the six and 12-day provisions of their contracts with the Big Ten.
