Two-County High Speed Chase Leads to Charges

ALTOONA –  A 19-year-old Altoona man was charged after a Friday night high-speed chase had officers and troopers from two counties tailing him.

Altoona City Police attempted to stop Terrone Miller for undisclosed reasons on Friday night. Miller fled, leaving the city via Interstate 99 at speeds in excess of 110 mph.

Miller then traveled north on U.S. Route 220, driving in an erratic manner, while being pursued by state police at Hollidaysburg.

State police at Philipsburg set up a roadblock and took Miller into custody.

Altoona City Police said Monday that Miller was released on a misdemeanor waiver, and he could face multiple charges.

Logan Township and Tyrone police both assisted in the chase.

No injuries or damage were reported as a result of the incident.
