Clearfield Names Acting Director of EMA

CLEARFIELD – A new face will head the emergency management agency for Clearfield County until a permanent replacement can be found.

Melanie Voris, deputy director of operatons and training for the Clearfield County Emergency Management Agency, will be the acting director for the organization.

Voris will be paid $1,391 bi-weekly for the job.

In other action, the Clearfield County Salary Board set the salary for Erin Troxel of Clearfield County Children and Youth Services at 95 percent of her current hourly rate. Troxell has taken a leave to attend school, and a program allows the county to pay her salary while she is furthering her education. The money paid to Troxell will be reimbursed to the county from the state.

As a requirement for the program, Troxell will have to work for a county or the state for the amount of time she attended school after she receives her degree.
