Limited tickets remain for three Penn State home football games

University Park, Pa. — A limited number of tickets remain for three Penn State football games in Beaver Stadium, with the season opener against Akron a little more than a week away.

A limited number of seats remain for the Nittany Lions\’ Sept. 2 opener with the Zips (3:30 p.m.) and the the Sept. 16 contest with Youngstown State (3:30) after both schools returns a portion of their allotment. Tickets also remain for the Nov. 11 contest with Temple in Beaver Stadium.

Four of No. 19 Penn State\’s home games are sold out: Northwestern (Sept. 30), Michigan (Oct. 14, 8:00 p.m.), Illinois (Oct. 21-Homecoming) and the Senior Day season finale with Michigan State (Nov. 18).

In his 41st season as head coach, Joe Paterno\’s squad returns 34 lettermen and 11 starters for the 2006 season. \”Penn State Football Eve presented by Sheetz\” will be held on Sept. 1 in and around the stadium starting at 6 p.m. Beaver Stadium gates A& B will open at 7:00 p.m. with events starting inside the stadium at 7:45 p.m. Paterno and the squad will be in attendance at \”Football Eve,\” with fireworks at the end of the event.
