Bob Boob Garage Claims OTSL Playoff Title

CLEARFIELD — Bob Boob\’s Garage came out of the loser\’s bracket to win the Old Town Fast-Pitch Softball League Playoffs championship with a 19-4 rout of Legends Sports Bar & Grill Monday evening at Bucky Strunk Memorial Field.

In a game halted after 4-1/2 innings because of the 15-Run Mercy Rule, Boob\’s capitalized on 17 walks and two hit batsmen to finish the season with a 19-4 record, including 4-1 in the double-elimination playoffs.
Leadoff batter Brent Thomas paced the champs with three of their eight hits, one a double, and four runs batted in. Tim Oswalt wound up with four RBIs, two on a single and two on bases-loaded walks. Rick \’Super Stew\” Stewart and Damion Rienke had a pair of RBIs apiece.
Bob Culp worked two scoreless innings with four strikeouts, allowing two hits. Larry Conklin pitched the last two frames, giving up four hits and all four Legends runs.
Tom Yeager had a double for the losers.
Boob\’s scored six runs in the first, nine in the second and four in the third.
