It’s a Family Affair: Station 305 Subs & More

CLEARFIELD-  There is a new cozy dining spot in downtown Clearfield.

The former Railroad Street Tavern has a fresh new look and new business: Station 305 Subs and More.

The business boasts a local, family-run atmosphere that serves breakfast, subs, salads, desserts and more.

When the new owner, Mart Fenton, purchased the building from John and Karen Tansey, he admitted he was a bit nervous.

“I never thought—at 70-years-old—that I would be making an investment like this, but I didn’t want the building to sit empty and I also want to give something back to my family,”  Fenton expressed, making reference to his daughter, Stormie Rupp, and her daughters.

For Stormie, “it’s all about family” and everyone is pitching in around the new spot, including two uncles, an aunt, a cousin and her daughters.

Her uncle, Ron Fenton, heads up the kitchen and wants the local community to enjoy a “long history of family recipes.”

Though still in its soft opening stage, patrons looking for another dining option have already had a chance to explore many of the specialties that the restaurant has to offer.

So far the family said their most popular menu items have been the breakfast bowl, Philly and California cheesesteaks and home-made pies.

The restaurant is only open on weekends for now, but once it’s ready at full staff the family plans to expand operating hours.

Updates can be found on the restaurant’s Facebook page here.

The family said many from their community have encouraged them along the way and their neighbors were very generous offering donations and assistance in the way of restaurant seating, supplies, additional parking and more.

The family said they are very grateful for the community’s support and look forward to serving everyone.
