MRAAA to host 29th annual Anne S. Thacik Fundraising Event Oct. 17

CLEARFIELD — Some big-ticket items are already lined up for the Anne S. Thacik Mega Prize Bingo Bash at the Mature Resources Area Agency on Aging’s largest annual fundraiser.

Members of the Anne S. Thacik Fundraising Committee are still collecting donations and sponsorships for the upcoming 29th annual event.

Tickets can also be purchased online at www.mraaa.life or at CCAAA offices on Second Street in Clearfield and on Cooper Road in Curwensville.

“This year’s event will be very unique,” said Dennis Biancuzzo, director of business development. “We’ve created a mixture of bingo, auction and a cash bash that will provide for a fun and exciting evening”

The first 200 tickets will be entered into a cash bash drawing to win $1,000.

Prize bingo game winners will have the choice of two very different prizes ranging from designer purses to thousands of dollars in gift cards. Whichever prize is not chosen will be put up for an immediate 60-second auction.

The auction is planned for Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at the Copper Cork Event Center (former Knights of Columbus) at 512 Arnold Ave., in Clearfield.

Doors open at 5 p.m. Bingo will begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per person, and includes hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. A 50/50 and other games of chance will also be available.

Proceeds benefit programs and services offered by the MRAAA to improve the quality of life for area senior citizens.

The biggest agency fundraisers of the year, the auction committee’s goal for 2024 is to raise $40,000.

Donations of auction items are still being accepted. Contact Dennis Biancuzzo at 814-765-2696 or dbiancuzzo@matureresources.life to donate or for more information.
