UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Extension will offer a free webinar aimed at helping participants create a plan to spend and invest money to meet personal and financial goals.
“Your Money Matters: Developing a Budget” will take place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Oct. 2, 2024.
This webinar is designed for the public, human services providers and anyone interested in developing a healthier relationship with money, building a realistic spending plan and working toward financial goals.
Organizers emphasized budgeting as the foundation of a healthy relationship with money. A realistic budget allows one to meet needs and many wants while still saving for the future.
This session can help participants:
— Increase their understanding of budgeting.
— Identify the steps in developing a budget.
— Create a personal budget and forecast a future budget.
Participants will receive a copy of Penn State Extension’s Build a Budget workbook to set them on a course for regular money management.
Webinar material is used with permission and based on the “Money Counts: A Financial Literacy Series” program at Penn State’s Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center.
Penn State Extension offers this webinar free of charge, but participants must register by 9 a.m. on Oct. 2 to receive the link to access the webinar. Registrants also will receive access to the webinar recording.
