Explore Jefferson: Local Man Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Group of People With Rifle in Big Run Borough

BIG RUN BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — A local man was arrested for allegedly threatening a group of people with a rifle in Big Run Borough on Saturday evening.

According to a news release issued by PSP Punxsutawney, the incident happened around 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, at a residence on E. Main Street, in Big Run Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say 60-year-old Robert Wayne Huey Sr., of Big Run, was upset that a known victim was having multiple helping her move her items from the residence.

Huey exited his vehicle, pushed one of the victims in the chest while the victim was standing outside on the sidewalk.

Huey then entered the residence, went to his bedroom, and grabbed a .22 caliber rifle. He was continually yelling and screaming at the victims to get out of his house.

Huey was also waving the rifle while shouting that he had a right to defend himself.

The victims are listed as a 56-year-old Big Run woman, a 35-year-old Hamilton woman, a 34-year-old female, and a 49-year-old male, both of Punxsutawney.

Huey was arraigned at 8:35 a.m. on Sunday, September 15, on the following charges in front of District Judge David Inzana:
