HOUTZDALE – This Friday, the Houtzdale American Legion will be hosting a blood drive.
There is still an urgent need for blood across the country. Extreme heat, flooding and hurricanes are causing many drives to be cancelled.
Overall the blood supply has fallen by 25 percent since July. Donors are desperately needed.
The drive will take place from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. Friday in the legion’s social hall, located at 610 Good St., in Houtzdale.
