Art Collaboration Adds Something New at Clearfield Historical Society

CLEARFIELD – Something new has taken place at the Clearfield County Historical Society.

Through a collaborative effort of three local schools and two local artists, the window inserts in the Carriage House have been redone to reflect the county’s history through the eyes of the students and the area artists.

Participating schools were Curwensville, St. Francis and Moshannon Valley, and two artists from the area, Linda Schultz and Rachel Confer.

Curwensville School student Madison Sheeder did an interpretation of our Native American Heritage.

Moshannon Valley students Kate Fox, Karleigh Sage, Olivia Williams and Carly Robinson painted a map of Clearfield County reflecting the boroughs and townships and what they were noted for.

St. Francis students Mason Yeager, Griffin Brisker, Emma Vezza, Kolton Zimmerman, Mason Young, Jackson Hoover, Greyson Roseberry, Blake Little, Jacob Wright, Brody Lanich and Mason Reichard focused on the Railroad and Logging Industry.

Linda Schultz and Rachel Confer created a painting of the last raft on the Susquehanna River.

Pictured, in the photos, are Steve Banks, volunteer, and Paula Miller, CCHS board member.
