Langerholc Announces Transportation Improvement Grants for Cambria, Clearfield, Centre Counties

HARRISBURG – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35), who chairs the Senate Transportation Committee, on Monday announced state funding for road and bridge improvements and other transportation upgrades in Cambria, Clearfield and Centre counties.

“Maintaining a safe, efficient transportation network is a key component of thriving communities, but it is very expensive. I am pleased to announce this funding to help local governments in our area pay for these improvements,” Langerholc said.

The following grants were awarded:

Cambria County

Centre County

Clearfield County

Beccaria Township – $239,158 for roadway widening, base and drainage repairs, milling, binding and wearing course, double seal coat and shoulder improvements on Hoop Up Road and Poplar Street.

The grants were awarded through the state Multimodal Transportation Fund, which provides financial assistance to municipalities, councils of governments, businesses, economic development organizations, public transportation agencies and ports and rail freight entities.
