Clearfield Woman Gets State Prison for Selling Drugs to Undercover Officer

CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield woman will be spending time in state prison for selling drugs to an undercover officer.

During sentencing court on Thursday, Peggy Sue Evans, 44, pleaded guilty to felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and was sentenced by Judge Paul E. Cherry to serve 18 months to five years in state prison.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 21, 2023, an undercover officer contacted Evans through a social media site setting up a meeting for the officer to purchase two grams of Fentanyl for $475.

The two met at a convenience store in Lawrence Township where she entered his vehicle. She put a plastic bag supposedly containing Fentanyl in the storage compartment in the front of the vehicle. He confirmed the price and then gave her the money.

After counting the money, the officer who had agreed to give her a ride to another location, drove her there.
