Part of Ammerman Trail to Close for PennDOT Bridge Inspection

CURWENSVILLE – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced it will close a portion of the David S. Ammerman Trail located beneath a Route 2024 (Old Erie Pike) bridge spanning the trail approximately one mile east of Curwensville for the weekend. This closure will facilitate a bridge inspection scheduled for Monday, July 22.

PennDOT routinely conducts approximately 18,000 inspections each year on state-owned highway bridges. The bridge itself remains open to vehicle traffic. PennDOT will reopen the closed portion of the trail following the bridge inspection. All other portions of the trail are accessible.
