Work Completed on Breck Road Bridge

DUBOIS – The Breck Road Bridge has been completed.

The bridge was being constructed by the Sandy Township road crew with financial assistance from PennDOT.

Monday night, Township/City Manager Shawn Arbaugh stated that he was very happy with how the bridge turned out.  He thanked PennDOT for helping financially and the township road crew for completing the work.

Supervisor Mark Sullivan thanked the road crew members, as well.

“I’m sure we saved ourselves a few bucks by doing it ourselves,” said Sullivan.

Aqua PA

Treasure Lake resident, Bill Gateman, also voiced his complaints over the Aqua PA rate increases.

Gateman complained about the water quality since Aqua took over, saying it was recently “bright yellow” one day, and there’s been required filter replacements.

He also felt the community lacked hydrants.

“You can’t blame Aqua for the hydrants,” stated Sullivan, explaining that Aqua personnel installed the number requested of them.

Sullivan indicated that Sandy Township is filing a complaint against Aqua through the staate Public Utility Commission alongside the Treasure Lake Property Owners Association.
