Public Input Sought for Future River Project

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corp. Board of Directors invites area residents to attend a public community meeting on Monday, July 1, at 6 p.m., at River’s Landing Event Center, 139 W. Market St., Suite 200, Clearfield.

The purpose of the meeting is to present proposed plans for a public whitewater recreational park on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.

The project would remove and replace the current low-head Raftsman’s Dam, and provide recreational features for tubing and paddle sports, and fish and aquatic wildlife passages created from locally-sourced stone.

The public is invited to learn about the proposed plan that is expected to provide environmental, recreational and tourism benefits.

Representatives from the Clearfield Revitalization Corp., Clearfield Borough Council and Clearly Ahead Development will attend to gain community member feedback on the proposed plan.

Information on the proposed project can be found at the following link: https://clearlyahead.com/Business-Services/News.aspx.
