Clearfield- CNB Bank’s Board of Directors recently joined leaders from CNB Bank at River’s Landing in Clearfield to celebrate the retirement of two board members, Board Chairperson Peter Smith, and Board Member Renee Richard.
With expertise in legal, accounting, and education Ms. Richard and Mr. Smith have brought forth significant contributions to the Board of Directors. Mr. Smith is succeeded by Jeffrey Powell, who was elected to the position effective January 1, 2024.
On Mr. Smith and Ms. Richard’s retirement Mr. Peduzzi commented, “We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and leadership that Peter Smith and Renee Richard have provided to CNB Bank as members of our Board of Directors. Renee has been a wonderful resource for our company given her extensive legal, accounting, and educational background, and she continues to be a wonderful catalyst for our Impressia Bank efforts in the Greater Cleveland market. As Chairperson of the Board for seven years, capping a nearly 35-year period of Board service to CNB, Peter has been not only a committed servant to the interests of our shareholders, employees, and communities but also a leader and mentor to many. His legal expertise, business savvy, and corporate governance efforts have been instrumental in support of our management team and his fellow Board members through over three decades. His tenure on the Board paralleled an amazing period of growth for CNB to become a $6 billion bank that now serves communities across four states. We wish both Peter and Renee the best in their pursuits and services beyond our boardroom.”
Speaking about his retirement and time on the Board, Mr. Smith says, “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have served on the CNB Bank Board of Directors for the past 35 years. It has been a privilege to work alongside such talented individuals and contribute to the growth and success of this institution. I am confident that CNB Bank will continue to thrive in the years to come, and I look forward to seeing all that the future holds for this organization.”
