IRVONA – An Irvona man is behind bars for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl multiple times.
Cory J. Kubiak, 55, is charged by Clearfield state police with four felony counts each of rape forcible compulsion and rape mentally disabled person; felony statutory sexual assault; and felony aggravated indecent assault (two counts), as well as misdemeanor indecent assault (four counts).
The charges stem from incidents that occurred at an Irvona Borough residence between May 1, 2023 and April 28, 2024, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed with the Houtzdale magistrate’s office.
State police say Kubiak made the victim perform a sex act on him multiple times, and during at least two of the assaults, he inappropriately touched her.
In an interview May 2, the victim told investigators that Kubiak made her touch his privates before making her have sexual intercourse with him April 27. He made her have sex with him again April 28.
She also reported an incident that occurred about a year earlier.
In an interview May 7, Kubiak reportedly admitted to having sexual intercourse with the victim four or five times during the past two months.
He also admitted to having the victim touch his privates four or five times, as well as to inappropriately touching her at least two times.
Kubiak is being held at Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 15 during centralized court.
