PSP Clearfield
State police are investigating an incident of theft in Pike Twp. Unknown actor(s) removed a fuel tank off of a leaf vac on the Curwensville Lake property. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Clearfield.
State police investigated a toddler that fell down steps in Decatur Twp. It was determined that no crime was committed.
State police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the Kylertown/Drifting Hwy. for a vehicle code violation. The vechicle failed to stop and attempted to flee north of SR 53 at high rates of speed of up to 90 mph. The vehicle left the roadway, traveled through the yard of a residence and then re-entered the roadway. Troopers were able to get the vehicle stopped at which time the driver fled on foot and was eventually apprehended. The driver, Jason Alan Moore, 44, of Moshannon, PA was found to be under the influence and in possession of drugs. He was lodged in the Clearfield Co. Jail on numerous charges.
State police responded to Tomorrow’s Hope in Beccaria Twp. for a report of a state parolee resident that had physically harassed a staff member. The resident was cited.
State police investigated a report of a known male that inappropriately touched a male victim at SCI Houtzdale. The investigation continues.
Clearfield Regional Police
CRPD assisted PSP Dubois in locating a male who had fled the scene of a crash near mile marker 101 on I-80. The male was last seen along S. 2nd Street in Clearfield Borough after being dropped off by a passer-by. Officers located him in a nearby parking lot and took him into custody. He was found to have a handgun in is front waist band. The male sustained injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment.
Officers observed a vehicle driving the wrong way down a one-way street in Clearfield Borough. Officers make contact with the driver, identified as 28 year-old Chelsey Wallace, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges have been filed.
