CLEARFIELD – The Health Occupations students at Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) are excited to announce their “Toy Box Buddies” health clinic.
The clinic is a free event for children ages 3 to 8 during the CCCTC Open House on Thursday, April 11, 2024, starting at 5 p.m.
This interactive clinic encourages young children to learn about health and wellness in a fun and comfortable way.
Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal, doll or action figure for a “check-up” by the CCCTC Health Occupations students.
Through engaging activities and demonstrations, students will learn about:
- Basic hygiene practices
- Healthy eating habits
- The importance of exercise
- Recognizing signs of illness
“The Toy Box Buddies clinic is a great opportunity for our students to gain experience interacting with children and promoting healthy habits,” says instructor Jody Gunter, R.N., B.S.N.
“We hope this event will spark an interest in healthcare careers and empower children to make healthy choices.”
