Family of Athletes Have Success at K of C Regional Free Throw Competition

CLEARFIELD – Long-time Knights of Columbus Council 409 member Joseph T. Natoli was certainly a proud 93-year-old grandfather on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Five of his grandchildren had taken first place in both the council and district free throw competitions, which advanced them to the Regional Free Throw in Erie on that date.

The first two events were both sponsored by Clearfield K of C Council 409 where Natoli has been a member for over 67 years.

All five grandchildren showed off their basketball skills with all taking honors in the competition while competing against numerous athletes from several other districts throughout the west-central district of the K of C.

Callie Natoli earned a very prestigious third place, while her brother and cousins all garnered first place in their age groups.

The first-place winners now advance to the state free throw in Harrisburg on March 9.
