Lady Tide and Bison Compete at Lady Mountie Invite

PHILIPSBURG — The Curwensville Lady Tide and Clearfield Lady Bison were joined by the host Lady Mounties, plus nine other schools, at the Philipsburg-Osceola Lady Mountie Invitational on Saturday February 3.

Curwensville sent a 10-person team and came away with the lone champions between the two schools.

Tessa Queen won both of her matches in the 142 pound class to claim gold.

Runners-up for the Lady Tide were Savannah Carfley at 124, Gabby Bamberger at 136, and Jaidyn Sykes at 235.

Skylar Turner was a bronze medalist at 112.

Fourth place finishers were Jordin Peoples at 106, Kylee Hilterman at 170, and Emily Neeper at 190.

Matilyn McCracken was fifth at 130, while in seventh was Savannah Harley at 142.

The top finishers for the Lady Bison were Makayla Taylor at 155 and Aylee Johnston at 190, who each earned silver medals.

In third place was Araya Korb at 148 and Taylor Blantz at 170.

Fourth place went to Ellie McBride at 142, and Alara Quickel placed fifth at 136.

The Lady Tide will have their first ever dual meet on Tuesday February 13 when they travel to New Bethlehem to face off with the Redbank Valley Lady Bulldogs.
