WEXFORD — On Saturday January 27, the Clearfield Junior High wrestling team competed at the North Allegheny tournament in Wexford, PA.
With 165.5 team points, the Bison placed fifth out of 18 teams. Connellsville won the title with 224 points.
The herd was led by 101 pound eighth grader Matthew Rowles, who pinned his way through the tournament was named the Outstanding Wrestler.
He was joined on the medal stand by Brayden Wills at 155 and Ryan Ludwig at 190 with third place finishes, Bo Aveni at 108 and Matthew Peace at 250 pounds with fourth place finishes, and sixth place finishes by Liam Alger at 138 and Timmy Taylor at 210.
