CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man is facing child sexual assault charges.
Lance E. Spencer, 35, is charged by Clearfield Regional police with felony aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault; two misdemeanor counts each of corruption of minors and indecent assault; and two summaries.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the investigation began on Oct. 22, 2023 when a juvenile girl provided initial details to authorities. It was noted that a forensic interview was also done on Oct. 26, 2023 at the Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County.
The victim alleged that Spencer had inappropriately touched her last summer. She said it made her feel “weird and uncomfortable.” She reportedly asked him to stop and he did.
The investigation also revealed a second victim who was interviewed on Nov. 9, 2023, and provided similar details. This victim told police that Spencer had assaulted her during the summer of 2010 when she was five years old.
She became upset as she spoke with police, indicating how Spencer made her feel “uncomfortable and scared.”
Spencer waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday, sending his case to county court. Bail is currently set at $25,000 monetary, which online court documents indicate he posted Jan. 15.
