Elk Co. Dems to Hold Petition-Signing Event

ST. MARYS – The Elk County Democratic Committee will be hosting its “Donuts, Democrats & Democracy” petition-signing event Saturday, Jan. 27. It will take place at the 2024 Victory Headquarters in downtown St. Marys, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Registered Elk County Democrats can stop by headquarters, located at 210 Brusselles St., enjoy a donut and coffee and sign petitions for the party’s endorsed candidates.

These include U.S. President Joe Biden, U.S. Senator Bob Casey Jr., State Treasurer candidate Ryan Bizzarro and State Auditor General candidate Malcolm Kenyetta.

Casey, Bizzarro and Kenyetta are no strangers to Elk County, having been at numerous local events over the past few years.

Petitions will also be available for Zach Womer, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, 15th District, and Presidential convention delegates, along with several State Attorney General candidates.

Additional headquarters hours and petition-signing opportunities will be posted on the committee’s official Facebook page www.facebook.com/ElkCoDC.

Interested Democrats can also reach out via e-mail to elkcountydemocrats@gmail.com or by calling or texting 814-636-1030 to schedule a time to stop by or have someone visit them during the petition-signing period, which runs through Feb. 13.

The 2024 Victory Headquarters opened in August of 2022, and is the only permanent political headquarters in Elk County. The committee will be scheduling an official 2024 grand opening soon.
